A campaign advocating for Spencer Pratt for mayor of Los Angeles, California, has been turning heads for its unconventional approach. The streets are being powerwashed clean by local residents with stencils that read “IMAGINE IF THE STREETS WERE THIS CLEAN SPENCER PRATT FOR MAYOR”

Various commenters agreed with this campaign message, placing the blame for the dirty streets on the current mayor, Karen Bass. The original poster even writes in the caption, “Karen Bass has allowed FILTH to become an ad against her 😂.”

The video shows one stencil being placed and power-washed, revealing the message in the clean asphalt below. Underneath the message itself, it reads, “Paid for my Pratt for Mayor 2026.”

In the video, a woman is featured discussing having met Spencer Pratt and exchanging contact information to discuss further cleaning the streets of Los Angeles. She can be heard saying, “I met him, he’s got my number, I’ve got his number. Yeah, he’s got my number. You can record me. I met him at the [unintelligible) cuz the corrupt Karen Bass came after me. I’m an activist. She sent her little goons after me, cleaning house.”

Overlay text in the video described the project as an attempt to draw attention to complaints about dirty streets and frustration with local leadership.

Reactions to New Spencer Pratt Power Washing Campaign in Los Angeles

Many commenters supported the message, agreeing that the streets need cleaning. One person in particular wrote, “Gawd that is soooo genius. What a time to be alive.”

Others compared the conversation to other countries where cleanliness is prioritized, with one person writing, “And why not wash down the sidewalk?? Do you know that in Japan the subway platforms are cleaned regularly.”

Other comments were less supportive of the approach, with one person saying, “Anyone who votes for this meglomaniac is as big a moron as his wife.” In the same vein, a different commenter wrote, “So, his campaign isn’t really cleaning the streets, just plastering it with his signs? What’s to say he wouldn’t just “forget” this particular idea once elected?“

The video has continued circulating online as users debate street conditions, local leadership, and whether unconventional activism like this is effective.
