Tennessee Womans’s Business Allegedly Being Sued For Using Her Own Name ‘About to be bankrupt’

Looks like this cookie company doesn’t know what it started

If you follow social media bakers, you’ve likely heard of Chloe’s Giant Cookies. This Tennessee baker went viral on TikTok for selling her baked goods and is absolutely loved by so many. She even announced that she would be competing on Gordon Ramsay’s Next Level Baker show. But now, she’s facing possibly the worst thing that could happen when you start up a business. She’s being threatened with a lawsuit from the company Chloe’s Cookies, and it’s because of her name.

TikToker @lacroix_goth shares all the drama between the two baking companies. Chloe Sexton, the owner of Chloe’s Giant Cookies, received a cease and desist for her name choice in 2025. Apparently, the company Chloe’s Cookies wasn’t happy with her because they have a similar business name. The thing is, there are upwards of 25 companies using the names “Chloe” and “Cookies” in their business names. They aren’t being sued, but, for some reason, Chloe is – quite likely because she’s risen to popularity and they aren’t happy about it.

Lacroix says that Chloe’s Cookies named the company after their dalmatian, Chloe. Now, she thinks that their company is “about to be bankrupt” over the fact that they would do something so devastating and cruel to a woman just trying to run her cookie company. Keep in mind that Chloe Sexton’s company helped her support her family. It also helped her put her mom in hospice before she ultimately passed away from brain cancer. Chloe seems like an all-around down-to-earth type of girl, and now she’s possibly being sued just for having her name.

Chloe’s Cookies is now suing Chloe for the “rights to her business name.” Even though she was operating first, they gained the right to the name “first,” so now they want everything tied to it. Lacroix says of Chloe, “She didn’t ruin your reputation, y’all did. Because you decided to pick a battle that wasn’t worth picking and ruin a person’s business for what?” She says people have “stopped ordering” from Chloe’s Cookies because they’re “outraged.” And, well, probably for good reason. Why come after the little guys just trying to get their start somewhere?

One commenter pointed out, “And fun fact: There’s like 25 other combinations of ‘chloe’s cookies’ but yet, they only sued the one that has an influencer as the owner.” Time will tell where this alleged lawsuit leads. Will Chloe back down and change her name, or will they ultimately lose this battle before it begins?
