Wendy’s Ohio President Joins Burger King in Mocking McDonald’s CEO with His Own Burger Review: ‘Am I Late for the Ice Bucket Challenge?’

While company executives try their best to pose as “a person of the people,” it’s hard not to see how disconnected these individuals are with reality. Yet it doesn’t make it any less entertaining when they goofily joke around for a marketing campaign or PR ploy, even though we know it’s just a facade. That said, the McDonald’s CEO, bless his heart, did his best to timidly bite into his “product” for a promotional video. The Burger King CEO followed suit, throwing shade at McDonald’s with his notably bigger bite. And now, a new challenger approaches, with Wendy’s President from Ohio, Pete Suerken, munching down his franchise’s burger.

While the Burger King exec got a lot of praise from his ‘big bite’ compared to the McDonald’s CEO, people felt a little less positive about Wendy’s President. A big reason wasn’t only because of the cold, corporate way he spoke, but more so, how the video was suspiciously cut every time he took a bite. Some online users wondered whether he was swallowing the burger at all. At the very least, it seemingly was better than McDonald’s attempt, but still just felt just as “corpo” as any Caucasian male millionaire would make it feel.

People on Reddit made sure to point out how uncannily similar the fast-food CEOs look. “They all look like they’ve taken someone who’s not their wife to a Coldplay concert,” joked one individual. “Exactly lol like all of them look the same 🤣,” laughed another. Some users demanded that other CEOs ‘try out’ their products as well. “I want to see other CEOs eat their products. Google CEO eats a computer. Airbnb CEO eats a pillow,” remarked one commenter.

But jokes aside, plenty of people have already begun to feel like the joke was already over once Burger King did their viral “CEO’s bite.” Now, even though Wendy’s did better than McDonald’s, many feel like it’s just another exec attempting to pretend like they’re trendy. “Okay CEOs, it’s dead now. The joke’s dead,” says a Redditor. “Am I late for the ice bucket challenge?” quipped a second.

Now that we have three CEOs joining in the fast-food beef, it’ll be interesting to see who’s going to try their hand at a review next. As one person jokes after seeing Wendy’s President, “Sonics’s CEO just about to film his video after he practiced his script all day: ☹️😔.”
