A plus-size woman in Washington shared her “amazing” experience flying Delta, given that many of her followers asked her about it. The internet, however, decided not only not to believe that she had a comfortable experience, but also took things too far on the mean side.

TikToker Tayler, who has described herself as “addicted to working out,” posted a clip that went viral. According to her, she was getting “tons and tons of DMs” about how she flies as a plus-size woman. To her, her flying experience is no different than any other people’s.

“I don’t have to buy two seats like everybody is insinuating,” the Washington woman said, adding that on a recent trip to Los Angeles, she and her husband were “lucky” that no one else was seated on their row.

On the way home, however, there was a third person on their row. Still, Tayler said that they “fit comfortably,” detailing that she also needed a belt extender. She said that the Delta flight was “chef’s kiss,” and that despite a delay and a deplaning due to a mechanical issue, she and her husband had a “great experience.”

“I wasn’t in Comfort Plus. I was just regular, Economy, totally fine with one seat. Just me and the seatbelt extender,” Tayler said, insisting that she doesn’t have to buy two seats due to her being plus-size. She even recalled a flight where she sat in the middle of two people with the armrests down. According to her, no one bumped each other’s shoulders, and it was “totally fine.”

Internet Doesn’t Buy It

Given that the internet is the way it is, there was a big chunk of users who didn’t believe the Washington woman had actually felt comfortable during her flight to Los Angeles. Furthermore, some even argued that, even if she herself was comfortable, other passengers certainly were not.

“If you need a seatbelt extender, you are spilling into another seat and that’s just not fair to the people around you,” one user said. Another person commented, “If you require a seatbelt extender, I promise you it’s neither fine nor comfortable for the person next to you.” A third netizen added, “Girl… be for real.”

Apparently, Tayler was fully aware that people were going to criticize her, so she didn’t pay much attention. Instead, she hit the gym immediately after recording the TikTok, vlogging her workout routine.
