A Texas TikToker known as 0liviajulianna has publicly criticized fellow creator Olivia.krolczyk over a video in which she commented on a young boy buying lip gloss. In the original clip, which is no longer visible on Olivia.krolczyk’s profile, she reportedly called the boy gay for playing with lip gloss and suggested that bullying “should be brought back,” remarks that quickly drew attention and backlash.
0liviajulianna responded with her own video, directly addressing the comments and accusing Olivia.krolczyk of targeting a child over something harmless. She questioned why a boy going to Sephora and buying lip gloss was being treated as a problem. She also criticized the assumption about the boy’s sexuality, pointing out that he had not said anything about being gay or about dating at all.
In her response, the TikToker also argued that labeling men as gay simply for wearing lip gloss was inconsistent. She suggested that if that standard were applied broadly, it could extend to many public figures.
Internet Backs Texas TikToker
Although the original video appears to have been removed, discussion around the incident has continued across TikTok. Users have continued to comment on Olivia.krolczyk’s other videos, with many criticizing her earlier remarks. While she has not posted a direct response addressing 0liviajulianna’s video, she did upload another clip using an audio track that some viewers interpreted as dismissive of critics, appearing to label those responding to her as mentally ill.
Many users sided with the TikToker, arguing that the original comments were inappropriate and disproportionate. Some described Olivia.krolczyk’s remarks as childish, saying there was no reasonable justification for criticizing a child over something like lip gloss. One user wrote, “But you see, that lady never grew up. She peaked in high school, so she never learned the difference between a child and an adult.”
Others said the situation reflected a broader issue, with some expressing concern that people have become more openly hostile online in recent years. A number of users linked the tone of the original video to wider cultural and political tensions, including attitudes toward LGBTQ individuals.
Some responses also took a more sarcastic tone, referencing Olivia.krolczyk’s comment about bringing back bullying and suggesting that she was now facing backlash as a result. One commenter wrote, “It’s crazy how adults want kids to have fun being kids, and then when they do, the adults respond with ‘let’s bring back bullying.’”
