The No Kings protest in Palm Beach, Florida, was infiltrated by MAGA supporters and Proud Boys, rousing verbal altercations between both sides. One exchange was captured and posted on X. Trump supporters could be seen walking through the crowd, flipping off the people, and waving the American flag. As they passed by, the protesters booed while MAGA had megaphones, blaring sirens, and appeared visibly ready to engage with anyone who gave them a reason to.
Soon, the scene became charged with expletives flying from both ends of the divide. As seen in the clip, one man wearing a black shirt with the word “Patriot” appeared to be the main instigator. However, the protesters didn’t back down, booing so loudly to drown him out. One of Trump’s supporters could be seen harassing one woman who had her protest sign up, booing as he walked towards her while warning her not to touch him, because he would hurt her. Some of the Proud Boys chanted “Trump” as they walked to the opposite side of the police line. In another video, police officers stood between the two camps as they hurled insults at each other, throwing body-shaming comments back and forth.
No Kings Infiltration Slammed As Rage Baiting
The clips immediately sparked a wave of reactions. Many users focused on the performative nature of the infiltrators’ actions, categorizing them as rage-baiting to provoke a viral conflict. One user mocked their logic, saying, “Going out to a No Kings protest to scream to the world is so strange. MAGA never stops being weirdos. You’re entertaining the rest of us.” An eyewitness claimed that the group was intentionally trying to incite the crowd, writing:
“I was right there. These guys went through the whole crowd, rage-baiting and flashing Proud Boys signs. Just trying to start something so they could film an argument. You can’t talk to these people. You can’t fix STUPID.”
Someone else chimed in, “They are just dying to have someone hit them so they can play victim.” An individual expressed a total lack of surprise at the situation: “Why is this a shock to anyone? Those traitors stormed the Capitol because an orange man with tiny hands told them to do so. Of course, they will be out.” One user pointed out that if either side had done this, it would still be an issue.
Some questioned why the Proud Boys couldn’t stage a protest of their own, while one user appeared surprised that people would choose to engage in such hostilities. “I can’t believe people actually like spending their time arguing with strangers on a lovely Saturday.”
Both sides of the divide have the right to protest. However, the infiltration of MAGA tensed the environment, turning the gathering into a politically volatile arena.
