E3 2018: Gears 5 is Officially Revealed

We did get the rumored three Gears of War games at this year’s E3 but there was no mention of a Gears Battle Royale. Instead, Xbox announced Gears Pops (a mobile game), Gears Tactics (a turn-based strategy title), and the next installment in the Gears franchise, Gears 5. Here is the announcement trailer for Gears 5 along with its cinematic trailer:

As you can see, some time has passed since the events of Gears of War 4. The story seems to follow around Kait and her journey to find answers to her heritage. You can play solo or with a friend via local split-screen co-op or online co-op.

Gears 5 will release sometime in 2019 for Xbox One and Windows PC.
