In moments of fear or uncertainty, having a trusted adult who will listen can make all the difference in helping a child feel safe, supported, and understood. That sense of trust was evident when a group of Ohio kids, shaken after coming across something disturbing while playing, chose to visit their neighborhood pastor to share what they had seen and ask him to pray with them. The interaction was caught on film by the pastor’s Ring camera, and the viral footage is circulating online right now.

Kids knock on their pastors door after seeing something unpleasant and the ending is just sooo wholesome 👏🏽❤️

The video shows a group of young boys, who appear to have been out riding their bikes, stopping to ring the doorbell at a pastor’s front door. Although the pastor isn’t home, he uses his Ring camera to speak with the kids outside through the device’s built-in audio. After politely exchanging pleasantries, the pastor asks, “Hi, what y’all doing?” One of the kids explains that they saw something “evil” while they were out playing together, and that they want to “come pray” with the pastor.

One of the boys pulls out his phone, eager to show a photo of what they described as something “evil.” What he reveals on his phone appears to be a mysterious image that someone has written with chalk on the ground. Specifically, it comprises of several circles, along with the words, “Enjoy your adventure.” Apparently, they found the image near the train tracks, along with a “creepy dude.” After their so-called eerie discovery, they ask the pastor if they can pray with him.

After explaining that he isn’t home and is speaking through the camera, the pastor initially offers to pray with them the next day, but then changes his mind and offers to pray with them right away, delighting the boys, who say they’re happy to pray both today and tomorrow. After sharing a heartfelt prayer, the boys respectfully say “Amen” and, smiling, thank the pastor before promising to return the next day to pray again. As the kids hop on their bikes to leave, one of the boys says sweetly, “Y’all pastors are really the best.”

Netizens’ Reactions to the Wholesome Clip

With over 2,500 upvotes on Reddit and over 22,000 likes on Instagram, the wholesome clip is going viral right now, and the internet can’t get enough. On Reddit, one impressed viewer wrote, “The one boy that said today when the other two said tomorrow’s fine. Then he agrees tomorrow. And then says today and tomorrow, that young man was truly scared, and he asked for the help he needed…proud of him“.

A second netizen chimed in with, “I’m not a religious person, but I love that their response to something dangerous and evil was to was to seek counsel, love, and prayer. What amazing souls. I wish them peace, healing, and hope, I know that by their decisions, they certainly offered that to me.” A third Redditor added, “Those are some good kids.” while another penned, “This is beyond wholesome 😭”. A fifth declared, “This is so beautiful“.

Meanwhile, a few commenters discussed the image that the boys shared, which they deemed as “evil.” One person asked, “So, what was that in the pic?” Another commenter replied to this, explaining, “OP responded that it was ‘some satanic symbol’ – actually looks like they deleted their comment and realized, but I squinted and made it out. It says “Enjoy your adventure” and a paw print with an anarchist sign in it, which is definitely not satanic. More likely a punk leaving a note and kids being cute and unaware.”

Stories like this highlight just how vital it is for children to have a safe, trustworthy adult to turn to when they face challenges or unsettling experiences in their lives.
