The office of a federal forest service building has gained some attention online over its “Saga of the Trump Photo” hung on the wall. Reddit user abstimax, who works in the office and is from Colorado, explains how the President’s official portraits aren’t supposed to be tampered with, but “someone keeps messing with them, and the drama is hilarious.” Thousands of other Redditors on r/MildlyVandalised, too, found the development of the Trump photo quite amusing yet disturbing in other ways.
User abstimax claimed that it can be “a pretty serious federal crime to vandalize or steal them,” referring to the photos of the government officials. Though, the vandalism done to Trump’s portrait in their office was minimal, with one picture showing the President’s face simply being covered with Smokey the Bear or another piece of historical decor.
The Federal Worker Claims a Camera Will Be Installed to Prevent Further Tampering
The most controversial of the accusations would have had to have been the one accusing Trump of indecency with minors. This has been an ongoing discussion for years now, with the Epstein files still on everyone’s minds. Unfortunately, those hoping the “saga” will continue will be disappointed, as OP claims his office will soon install a security camera to keep people from messing with the portraits.
Some Redditors wished they could see more mild vandalizing of Trump’s photo. “I see nothing wrong here, just people expressing this disdain for the Führer,” joked one commenter. “Honestly, the challenge of avoiding the camera would make me want to mess with it more,” remarked another.
One person wondered why the office chose this Trump photo over others. “It’s wild to me that is the picture they chose. Like of all the pictures, really that’s the one?” responded abstimax. Messing with the portrait aside, plenty of people were concerned about why the photo had to be there.
“This feels very North Korea,” writes a Reddit user. “Why are you required to display a picture of the President? This seems weird for a democracy,” asked a second. OP replied, saying how every President has had their photo put up over the years.
On the other hand, one person claiming to also be a federal worker claims their local chain of command doesn’t require the President’s portrait to be set up in their office. “I’d 100% be messing with them if I could. Cheers to whoever has been improving yours,” they wrote sarcastically.
