According to a recent report, this could happen in Denver, Colorado, as federal agencies would no longer require public input to decide how to protect historic places.

According to the report, this proposal is trying to skip public opinion, meaning that those sent by Trump would do whatever they want with some of these landmarks.
They also say an example of how, if approved, they could be looking at dangerous situations, such as people wanting to drill in Mesa Verde. Beyond that, the report also mentions that this would apply not only to “old” places, but also to downtown libraries, if considered historic.
Naturally, people started to panic, as many have already heard about what Trump wants to do in Washington, and if so, this could also spell trouble for those in Colorado, especially those close to the historic places.
Colorado Residents Don’t Want Feds to Interfere
With the news of a possible federal intervention, many citizens started voicing their concerns, with many claiming that this is a bad idea, especially given what the federal authorities have been doing lately all across the country.
“We are right to be concerned about this given who we have in charge.“
“All this so the president can destroy half of Washington and put up a bunch of phony gilt stuff.“
Others, however, said that the law is already flawed, and while against federal intervention, believe that there were already some issues with how the government branded places as “historic.”

Despite the many opinions, it seems the majority believes that federal agencies should stay away from the state. Also, many think that Trump is trying to change the law just to do whatever he’s planning in Washington. And if that happens, it will affect the whole country, as usual.
