A woman in Detroit, Michigan, was left devastated when she discovered that her car had been stripped down to almost nothing after it went missing for two days. She shared videos on TikTok to show what remained of her Dodge Charger, and netizens were reeling in shock, trying to process how that had happened.
In the videos, it appears that most of the car’s parts had been removed. The front of the car looked hollowed out, with key components missing, while the interior was almost entirely gone. According to the woman, the seats, flooring, dashboard, and even the steering wheel had been taken, along with some of her personal belongings that she had kept inside.
The woman stated in one of her posts that the car had not been taken apart where it was originally parked, which was right outside her home. She said she had just gotten home in it, and after dozing off for a while, she came out to find it gone. It was later located in a completely different area two days later.
The woman claims that she does not have insurance and has recently set up a GoFundMe page asking for support in rebuilding her car. “This car isn’t just a vehicle to me—it’s how I get to work, go to school, and visit my parents. Without it, managing my daily responsibilities has become incredibly difficult. The cost to repair and replace everything is overwhelming, and I can’t do it alone,” the fundraiser read.
Her goal is to raise around $1.3K and, as of now, she has received over $300 in donations.
