California Med Spa Lip Filler Scam Claims

A woman on TikTok has accused a popular California med spa practitioner known as the “Lip King” of misleading her during a recent lip filler appointment, claiming she paid for a full Restylane Kysse treatment but saw no actual results. The individual, who shares content under the handle @corinnekimes, posted a series of videos saying, “he’s a fraud,” and detailing her experience. The videos are gaining attention online, racking up thousands of views and drawing reactions from netizens.

In one of her videos, the woman explained that she booked a $495 appointment after she saw that their new patient promo promised one milliliter of lip filler. Although she already had naturally full lips, she said she was simply looking for a subtle enhancement. When it was finally time for the procedure, she said the practitioner performed several injections to her lips but claimed she never saw him open the box of filler product she had paid for, at least not in front of her.

The woman said that after she paid and left, she did not notice any change to her lips. “They’re just not swollen yet or anything… Like, nothing has changed,” she said. “There’s no way I got 1 ML. Because if you know anything about lip filler, you know what people look like after they get their lips done. They look crazy.”

She Reached Out to the Clinic

The woman said she contacted the clinic afterward to confirm how much filler had been administered. According to her, she was told that only 0.7 milliliters had been used and that the remaining product had been discarded. This, she says, was never communicated to her.

Not believing that she had received any filler at all, she eventually took matters into her own hands and went to get an ultrasound imaging to examine her lips. In another of her videos, she compared what she says is her scan to that of another person with no filler and claimed that both images showed only natural tissue, with no visible signs of injected material.

She also alleged that after she began posting about her experience, the practitioner had attempted to contact her multiple times. “He knows that he’s being exposed,” she said. “He knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s the most guilty person I’ve ever seen at this point.”

Netizens React to the Woman’s Videos

In the comments, many viewers expressed shock over the situation. “I knew it looked too good to be true 😭,” one person wrote. Another commented, “That’s actually crazy wow what a scammer.” Someone else said, “I’m so mad for you,” while a fourth remarked, “I smell a class action lawsuit coming from these comments. Yikes.”

Several people also claimed that they had experienced the same issue with the clinic. “I just went this month in April with 2 family members and we all feel the same way no difference… I said this is 1ml? He said yes but my lips look exactly the same,” one comment read. Another netizen added, “I had the exact experience! I reached out to let them know I’m not satisfied because my lips look the same and they said there’s no availability until September!”

Some viewers were relieved that they had seen the videos before booking an appointment. “I legit was going to book with him and saw all this on TikTok so thankful,” one person shared. A different commenter chimed in, “Thank you for the heads up won’t be booking anymore!”

As of now, there has been no public response from the practitioner addressing the allegations. Meanwhile, the woman said that she is getting messages from others who say they were affected.
