A man in Minnesota has been described online as “creepy” after he was filmed in an incident in which he is accused of harassing a woman outside a bookstore.
It is not clear what initiated the interaction between the man and the woman, as no further information has been provided. The video begins with him filming another woman, while the other woman is also filming him.
In the video, the man is seen filming a woman from behind and appears to mock her while laughing, saying, “Did your mom sew this on the back,” referring to her jacket. The woman filming responds by saying, “Look how embarrassing.” The man then replies, “You guys are embarrassing.”
It appears the interaction had been ongoing for some time. The camerawoman then insulted the man, saying, “you weird [expletive].” The man continued filming the two women and said, “that hurt my feelings.”
The encounter continued as he said, “I identify as unweird dude.” He added, “You should address me properly.” Some users online interpreted the remarks as mocking the LGBTQ+ community. The video then ends at this point, leaving it unclear what happened next.
Minnesota Man Criticized Following Video
The video sparked reactions online. Some viewers criticized the Minnesota man, saying they believed his behavior was inappropriate. In online comments, some users also mocked his appearance, including his baldness; one wrote, “nothing wrong with being bald. Guy is a loser despite that.” Others claimed to have identified the man and alleged he is known for harassing people. “Yeah this dude is seen at protests agitating [expletive]. He is a right wing extremist. He is a known figure around the twin cities,” someone alleged.
Other users made more serious allegations about the man in the video. One person said, “He has repeatedly gone to Whipple and starting punching people randomly with brass knuckles. He was a supporter of Jake Lang when he tried to do his rally here. He was arrested and charged with assault last month for his antics. Hope he gets more charges.” Another user wrote, “This guy is a known clown among anti-ICE activists. He harassed people at Whipple repeatedly, and has been arrested multiple times on video including for violent assault. He tried to get in with the Jake Lang crew but even they didn’t want him around.”
The video drew reactions from online viewers, with some stating they believed the man should have left the woman alone rather than continuing the interaction.
