Grand Theft Auto 6 has only dropped two trailers since 2023 before staying radio silent. But with the game’s planned November 19 release date rapidly approaching, fans are increasingly convinced that GTA 6 Trailer 3 will be shown very soon. The biggest reason fans think something is brewing at Rockstar Games comes down to a now-deleted post on the r/GTA6 subreddit.
A poster claimed that they work for a ‘large UK retailer’ and got a notice that preorders for GTA 6 open on Tuesday, 12th May, priced at £69.99. They closed the thread with a disclaimer, “‘Allegedly’, of course. (For legal reasons).”
While anonymous claims like that should always be taken with a truckload of salt, the post ended up sending Reddit into detective mode. Fans quickly connected the dots and found other interesting clues. One of the most valid reasons to believe that GTA 6 trailer 3 could drop sometime next week is because of Take-Two’s scheduled May 21 earnings calls.
Looking back at GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, trailers and any kind of big announcements usually happened within weeks of Take-Two investor meetings. We also need to point out that the May 21 date is slightly later than Take-Two’s usual mid-May earnings timing. This perhaps hints at a major change to their roadmap or, worse, another delay.

If GTA 6 is still locked for its November 19 launch date, many believe Rockstar would probably want to say something to everyone — fast. Before the company’s higher-ups have to deal with awkward investor questions during the investor conference, at least. Dropping the third trailer on the 10-16th May, revealing preorder and prices for GTA 6, would be the best course of action.
Doesn’t help that back in February, the company already said that GTA 6‘s launch marketing would begin sometime in summer 2026. Since summer is basically around the corner and the game is six months away from the current launch plan, many argue that Rockstar should do it sooner rather than later.
Beyond Take-Two and Rockstar, fans have also pointed to suspicious activity on PlayStation’s side. PS5 PS Store’s 2026 Great Games page, which seems to be built for 15 images, is missing one final game on the list. There is also an empty Deals page on PSN. Not to mention that Sony highlighted GTA 6 along with its AAA first-party games like Wolverine during its May earnings call as well.
Is Rockstar involved? Maybe. Is Sony just trying to drum up more sales by piggybacking on the hype? Also maybe.
Whether next week actually brings GTA 6 Trailer 3 or this is just another round of elaborate speculation, one thing is clear. Take-Two and Rockstar Games need to just reveal everything about the game already.
