We all know that cities across the country face many issues that often affect the daily lives of its citizens. While response time in the big cities tends to be a bit faster at times, those who live in smaller counties suffer the most as authorities don’t really help them, or has the manpower to help. This is something that is happening to a resident in one of the counties of California, who recently mentioned how an alleged drug dealer was moving to their block alongside eight dogs, and despite reporting him to the authorities, neither the police nor the government has done anything to fix this.
User Jealous-Strategy-200 shared a couple of pictures and a GIF on the subreddit of Los Angeles, California where they claim an alleged drug dealer had moved to their block with their RV. The first two pictures show the RV that moved into the block back in October of 2025. OP also shows a GIF at the end with several dogs behind, which one neighbor is supposedly taking care of. On top of that, it seems that the dogs also present a hazard to everyone around the block, as they’ve been spotted without a leash.
Lastly, the one who shared the pictures mentions that the RV owner also has another vehicle without license plates, and despite driving it around, police officers never do anything about it.
What is shocking here is that OP has said that they tried to contact everyone to ask for help, including the 211 line to hopefully get in touch with Hilda Solis, but nothing happened.
While some residents shared a few ideas on what OP could do to fix this situation or create more awareness about the RV owner, a few others just mentioned how their complaints and calls might go unanswered, as smaller counties or faraway neighborhoods are rarely a priority for some authorities.
California Neighbors Share Ideas On How to Deal With The Situation
Some Redditors shared a few ideas on how OP could get out of this debacle and get the RV owner and his dogs to move out.
“Try your local neighborhood council, they are a volunteer group that has a surprising amount of influence.“
“You could bully your city councilor. That’s what I had to do to get her to deal with the homeless encampments on my street.“
On the other hand, someone mentioned that this might be outside of the city’s jurisdiction.
“The fact that you were told to call Hilda Solis leads me to believe you are somewhere in unincorporated LA County.“
In the end, this is certainly an issue for many in the block, but it seems OP will need to get in touch with the right authorities if they ever want to see this alleged drug dealer and his dogs get out of there.
