At an age when most people are trying to figure out how to silence their phone notifications, 81-year-old Minecraft streamer Sue Jacquot, better known online as GrammaCrackers, casually shrugged off a full-scale SWAT raid on her Arizona home and described the terrifying ordeal as “kinda fun.” While nothing bad happened to her and her household, many people are calling out whoever called the police alert prank on her.

I Got Swatted

Jacquot became the center of viral attention this week after armed police officers stormed her home during a live Twitch broadcast on May 18 in Queen Creek, Arizona. The incident unfolded in real time as viewers watched officers with guns drawn enter her streaming room and search the property during what appeared to be a swatting attack.

Swatting is a dangerous prank in which someone makes a false emergency report to dispatch heavily armed police units to an unsuspecting victim’s address. The practice has become an increasingly serious problem for livestreamers and online creators, occasionally resulting in injuries or deaths.

Thankfully, Jacquot’s reaction was far from panicked. Returning to her stream the following day alongside her grandson, the grandmother calmly recounted the bizarre experience with a smile, joking that she enjoyed all the attention from family members during the chaos. “The prettiest police woman I’ve ever seen,” Jacquot said during the stream. “Beautiful eyes, she was so sweet. But I think she could kick butt if she needed to.”

“They walked me out, and I didn’t know what was going on, but it was kinda fun,” recalled Jacquot. Her grandson later revealed the massive scale of the response, saying authorities arrived with around 20 police vehicles, fully armed SWAT officers, and drones overhead. Despite the overwhelming scene, Jacquot said she “never felt more protected.”

People online called out the prankster

Viewers, meanwhile, were stunned that someone would target the wholesome gaming grandmother, whose streams originally gained popularity after she began raising money for her grandson’s cancer treatment through marathon Minecraft broadcasts. Commenters flooded social media with praise for her composure. “What a legend,” one user wrote, while another joked, “What I’m taking from this is that grandma fought off five SWAT agents.”

Others focused their anger on the unknown person responsible for the swatting. “Someone actually swatted an old lady? What is wrong with people?” another Reddit user wrote. Jacquot launched her streaming career in 2024 and has since built a devoted online following thanks to her laid-back personality and family-friendly Minecraft streams. Earlier this year, her community helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for her grandson’s cancer treatment, which she later confirmed was successful.
