As many Americans already know, several situations stemming from Trump’s changes to programs across the country have affected many people. While some are a bit minor and tend to disappear after a while, there are a few that have stuck around since the President kicked off his OBBBA, and one of those major changes pertains to SNAP. Many know already just how affected this program is, but now, residents in Kansas are blaming Trump voters for just how participation in this program has reduced, as it seems the next year will be even tougher for those who use SNAP.
Harvesters Org. posted on the Kansas subreddit saying how their worst fear about SNAP losses is due to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
For the unaware, the aforementioned bill made several cuts across the country, with Medicaid and SNAP taking the biggest hits. Today, those who are using the SNAP program have shared their concerns about just how bad things are right now.
OP mentions that they are suffering some of the deepest cuts in food assistance in US history. They also claim that for every meal a food bank provides, SNAP provides at least nine. On top of that, it seems that even if charity is helping them, the cuts are just too big.
While this might not be news for many, especially those benefiting from SNAP, people are now shifting the blame to Trump voters, as they are the ones who put the current President in charge, who is, in turn, the one who reduced the help, and that continues to affect many citizens in the US, like many in Kansas.
Kansas Redditors Say Trump Voters Are Guilty of What’s Happening With SNAP
As you can see from the comments, people started pointing their fingers toward those who put Trump in the President’s chair, noting that they are all now suffering the consequences.
“You voted for this.“
“There’s only so much of our tax money to go around, and Trump would rather steal it for himself. Everyone else can struggle.“
On the other hand, several Redditors took it to the comments to talk about how this is just the beginning, and the following years could be even worse due to how these changes are impacting everyone.
“Unless something changes, next year is going to be worse. At least 7 million people will lose their health insurance.“
In the end, people are concerned about what new changes may come next year, but several believe that it will only get worse for all Americans.
