A video posted to the social media platform TikTok has been making the rounds due to its incredibly odd nature. A man in Minnesota discovered that the hotel he was staying in had a vending machine that carried Narcan, needles, and more.

The video’s virality made its way to X, where even more people were able to see it. This additional exposure attracted users to the comments, where they shared their opinions, many frustrated that something like that could even exist.

The video above shows the person who posted the picture walking over to a vending machine, hoping to get a snack. However, upon looking into one of the available machines, he noticed that inside, there were needles, Narcan, hand sanitizer, and syringe deposit containers.

The point of sale on the machine was not featured in the video, though it appears to utilize a digital interface. This implies that users likely need to provide some sort of identification before being able to purchase anything from it.

According to Wall Street Apes on X, “I was able to find this is in Walker, Minnesota and paid for by taxpayers for the homeless drug addict population to make easier, safer and more addressable to do drugs.”

They also write, “The area has a fentanyl problem. This is doing nothing but helping the drug addicts do more fentanyl.” This post was what helped the original video earn its virality, as the account has 1.3 million followers.

Reactions to Syringe-Filled Vending Machine in Minnesota

Various commenters under the original video shared their frustrations, with some expressing disbelief. One person wrote, “This actually exists in the USA?!?!? How is this even remotely acceptable” Similarly, another user wrote, “There’s no way this is real.”

The version that Wall Street Apes posted has far more replies underneath it, with one of the very top being an image that says, “0 days without Minnesota being a national embarrassment.”

Alongside these comments, many others believe that particular political parties are behind this, with a specific one reading, “This is what happens when you vote for democrats. Instead of actually dealing with the drug addiction, they support it by providing the items you need for that addiction.”

Additional information about this vending machine has not been released by the original creator. However, as the video continues to go viral online, more and more people are sharing their opinions on the future of the state of Minnesota.
