Jake Lang’s name is back in the news for a school board meeting in Fort Worth, Texas. An 83-second video, apparently filmed by Lang himself, shows the far-right activist inside a Fort Worth ISD board meeting.
In the clip, he delivers a stream of Islamophobic remarks. He directs them at attendees he assumes support Shayma Alzubi, a Muslim educator who was briefly named principal of Western Hills High School. She was later reassigned after a conservative backlash campaign.
Lang uploaded the clip himself. He has a history of showing up at tense events involving Muslim communities and filming them for his own audience. In this video, he is moving through a packed room, narrating straight into his phone camera.
Right from the start, Lang doesn’t bother pretending to be polite. “We need to stop Sharia law in Texas,” he says early on. “We need to make sure Alzubi never, never becomes principal.”
He keeps calling people “not Americans,” and even rattles off the word “invaders” again and again. He lets a racial slur slip, and claims the people in the room are “funded by terrorists,” dragging in CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations: “This is CAIR terrorist money funded into our school system.”
He is not vague about what he wants. “We need to make sure this state stays a Christian state,” Lang says.
The handheld, selfie-style camera pans across the audience. It shows packed seats, protesters with signs, and the hearing room. The clip ends with him leaving the premises.

Critics didn’t come lightly. “You shouldn’t be allowed near any school,” one person wrote. “What happened to accountability? Why is this creep anywhere near children or a school?” Another dug into Lang’s background directly: “It is very unsurprising that a man like you that was caught trying to *expletive* text a 15-year-old, would be kicked out of a school board hearing,” a user commented.
A third kept it blunt: “Perhaps don’t be such a racist *expletive* and people will like you more,” one comment read.
The support he did receive was unambiguous in its framing. “Keep fighting for the great state of Texas!” one person wrote. “Muslims will not dictate the future of Texas or US. It’s not happening, ever.” Another went further: “You’re a hero, Jake. It’s a shame that no one stood with you. Pathetic, weak fools allowing their state to be stolen by savages,” a user commented.
Lang is hardly some random provocateur. He is a far-right activist and politician. He spent four years in prison for his role in the January 6 Capitol attack, racking up 11 charges, including hitting officers with a baseball bat. His charges were dropped after President Trump pardoned roughly 1,500 people connected to January 6 on the first day of his second term.
Now, Lang is running for U.S. Senate in Florida’s 2026 special election.
