A man claiming to be a server at a popular upscale restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, has gone viral on TikTok after posting a video urging people to avoid eating there due to what he described as serious health and safety concerns. The video, which has amassed more than 500,000 views and over 75,000 likes, centers on allegations of contaminated water, unsafe food-preparation practices, and ongoing plumbing issues at the restaurant’s Midtown location.

In the clip, the man identified the business as Fin & Feathers and said he was speaking out because he believed customers should be aware of conditions inside the restaurant. According to him, employees had already been dealing with recurring water leaks in several areas of the building, including behind the bar and on the patio.

The server claimed a beverage service technician who visited the restaurant warned employees not to drink the water or eat the food served there. He further alleged that the restaurant’s sewage or septic system was nearly overflowing and that workers in hazmat suits had previously informed staff of a rat problem at the location.

“The water that we give to the guests is heavily contaminated,” the man claimed in the video. “The food is contaminated. Like, I would say, specifically the chicken, because the chicken is being washed in those sinks by that dirty water.” The server also alleged that the restaurant’s owner was aware of the issues but continued relying on temporary fixes because a permanent repair would be expensive.

Netizens Were Shocked

In the comments on his post, many people appeared shocked by the server’s allegations. One person commented, “The very reason why I eat at HOME!!! 😩” Another urged, “Report to Osha and sue for safety violations before u leave.” A third suggested that “it should be closed for business,” while a fourth thanked the server for “saving a life.”

Some also claimed the allegations matched their own experiences. “This unfortunately doesn’t surprise me, last time I went the food was disgusting lol,” one netizen remarked. Another wrote, “I believe you. I went there to celebrate my bday one night. food, drinks, vibes EVERYTHING was amazing, but I was sooo sick afterwards, sick for weeks!!!”

At the same time, others were concerned that the server might face legal consequences for making such claims publicly. “I hope they dont sue u for speaking on them ..” one comment read. Another advised, “Put allegedly in the caption for your sake🩷.” Someone else encouraged him to preserve evidence, writing, “Make sure you have proof and all your documentation on these claims. Photos and videos are fine.”

Fin & Feathers Responds

Hours after the video went up online, Fin & Feathers appeared to address the allegations in a statement shared on Instagram. In the post, the restaurant said it was aware of the “false and misleading statements” circulating about its business and stressed that the “health, safety, and well-being of our guests and team members remain among our highest priorities.”

The restaurant disputed the allegations and said it follows “strict operational standards” across its locations, including routine food safety procedures, cleaning protocols, sanitation practices, and staff training. The company also encouraged anyone with concerns to contact management directly and said it remains committed to maintaining a safe dining environment for guests.
