A video on X has surfaced that features President Donald Trump stating at a hearing in the Oval Office in Washington, D.C., that he is happy with the inflation numbers in a report that was released.

He then follows this statement with another concerning why he feels this way, which only garnered additional attention online. Commenters left their opinions in the comments section of the video, with many condemning the President’s choice of words.

Reporter: Are you concerned, Mr. President, about the latest inflation number which came out this morning?

Trump: No, I love it. I love the inflation. pic.twitter.com/vktX6C9lbk

In the video, President Donald Trump is asked by a reporter, “Are you concerned, Mr. President, about the latest inflation number which came out this morning?” In response, Trump stated, “No, I love it. The numbers were great.”

He then follows that statement with, “I love the inflation.” Immediately, he defends this position by stating that the country has been taking out millions of barrels of oil from Iran during the ongoing war. This is allegedly something that no one knew about until this moment, not even officials in Iran.

He claims that the night before, 22 ships left Iran with barrels of oil under the cover of darkness because, “Cuz they don’t have any radar because we blasted the [expletive] out of it.” The justification continues on as Trump explains away the implication that inflation will lower once the war is officially over.

Specifically, Trump says, “I can say it now. Something you didn’t know. Do you know we’ve been taking out millions of barrels of oil? Nobody knows it. You know who doesn’t know about it? Iran, until right now.”

Reactions to Donald Trump Loving Inflation

Commenters were none too happy with Trump’s statement, with many writing comments against the president. One of the top comments reads, “The MIGA NPC software update has been released!“

Similarly, another top comment is an image of various MAGA supporters saying in unison, “I voted for billion-dollar ballrooms, reflecting ponds, and gold leaf statues… I never cared about no new wars, affordability, or Epstein!”

What really makes this remark interesting is a post from Donald Trump’s X account posted in October 2024 that reads, “I was in Las Vegas this evening with a message of hope for all Americans—With your vote in this election, I WILL END INFLATION, I WILL STOP THE INVASION, and I WILL BRING BACK THE AMERICAN DREAM! Thank you, NEVADA!“

Currently, as the video continues to go viral across social media, more and more poeple are leaving their frustrations in the comment section.
