Los Angeles County in California is known for many things, and road rage is chief among them. With high traffic and an unreliable public transportation system that forces people to drive everywhere, the area is famous for its dangerous streets. One woman perfectly embodied that stereotype when she slashed a man’s tires in the middle of the road.
The road rage incident took place at a busy Gardena intersection. In the clip, a woman can be seen slashing a man’s tires following a near-collision between their vehicles. While the man wasn’t able to retaliate before the woman drove off, the entire incident – including the woman’s license plate – was caught on camera.

The internet was overwhelmingly on the man’s side. Comments such as “Now, that’s a crazy Karen,” and “I would have keyed her car up real good,” surround the clip. Many also pointed out that both individuals in the video had knives in their cars. As one person wrote, “Wait – both drivers were knifed up and ready to slash?” That said, many people carry some form of self-defense item in their vehicles, making the presence of knives dangerously common in road rage incidents.
Other Redditors noted that the woman didn’t seem quite as eager for a confrontation once the man exited his vehicle. One person shared, “Coward ran when homie stepped out of his car.” Another individual assumed that, based on the woman’s behavior, she wasn’t new to road rage incidents. They wrote, “She’s a hateful person. That was not the first time she did that.” Others agreed, writing comments such as, “That doesn’t look like her first time.“
Some took issue with the fact that the man in the video appeared to want to use physical force against the woman. However, others argued that he would have been justified in doing so, since she was the one who introduced a weapon to the situation.
While we can’t know for certain whether or not this woman is prone to slashing tires in the middle of intersections, we do believe that she will likely face consequences. As mentioned, the whole thing was caught on video, enabling the man in the video to press charges if he chooses to do so. Only time will tell if legal action is taken, but in the meantime, people can certainly keep an eye out for this woman’s car and avoid it when on the road.
