Just one day after getting her driver’s license, a young woman says a routine stop at a Chick-fil-A turned into a frightening racist road rage encounter. Footage shared on TikTok appears to show a group of young men repeatedly honking their horn, shouting the N-word, and making obscene gestures toward her while she waited at a stop sign near the restaurant.
In the video, the young woman can be seen filming herself while sitting in her car. At the start of the clip, someone off camera can be heard yelling the N-word. The footage then shows the young woman holding her sweaty palms up to the camera as she says, “My hands are sweating like crazy,” before explaining the events that led up to the encounter.
“So, I was just at Chick-Fil-A and I had to deal with some crazy teenagers. I was at a stop sign and I was waiting ’cause there was a long line for Chick-Fil-A. So these boys were honking, yelling the N-word, and sticking up their middle finger. Mind you, I just got my licence yesterday. Humanity really needs to change. I’ll show you guys the video now.”
The clip then cuts back to footage from earlier in the encounter. A man can be seen standing in the back of a pickup truck behind her vehicle, shouting loudly as the young woman waits for traffic to clear at the intersection. According to her account, the men then addressed another nearby driver, telling her they were yelling at the young Black woman — not the White woman. She further alleges that they called the White woman “beautiful” while directing racial slurs and other insults at her.
As the video unfolds, the men can be seen and heard yelling from their vehicle while the young woman lowers her window as they drive past. One of them shouts, “Go [expletive] yourself!” while racial slurs can also be heard. An on-screen caption from the creator further alleges that one of the men threw an empty bottle onto the road as they drove away. Reflecting on the encounter, the young woman tells the camera, “People these days are insane. This generation is so sad. The racism, the hate, it’s just not gonna get you through life.”
Viewers Rally Around Young Driver
Many TikTok users expressed sympathy for the young woman, with several saying they were saddened by the alleged racist abuse and the fact that it came so soon after she had received her driver’s license.
One viewer wrote, “So messed up I’m sorry girl love you,” while another commented, “That is so scary. They’re so disgusting and sad.”
Others said they couldn’t imagine experiencing something similar as a new driver. “girl how did u not cry I would be scared and crying bro especially bc u just got ur license 😔,” one person wrote. Another added, “I’m sorry sweetheart, from a white person but as a woman, stay safe 💛💛.”
Some viewers also called for accountability. One commenter wrote, “This needs to go viral omg. Someone need to find them.”
The video has continued to gain attention online, with many viewers offering the young woman words of support while condemning the alleged abuse. Whether those responsible will be identified remains unclear, but the encounter has prompted a wider conversation about racism and aggressive behavior on the road.
