Several Louisiana police officers went viral after a video of a slow-moving foot chase drew widespread attention online. The footage shows officers pursuing a man on foot, but their pace quickly became the focus of the clip, with viewers and even passing motorists joking that the pursuit looked more like a jog than an active chase.

The video was shared on TikTok by @celph_love, where it has received more than one million views along with thousands of comments. Rather than focusing on why the suspect was being pursued, much of the discussion centered on the officers’ running speed and the unusual scenes captured during the incident.

The footage shows two Louisiana police officers chasing a man through a neighborhood while a passing vehicle slows down to follow the pursuit. The people inside the car can be heard yelling for the officers to hurry up, apparently surprised that both the suspect and the officers appeared to be moving at a similar jogging pace. The officers continue after the man without responding to the remarks.

As the chase continues, the suspect runs onto private property and disappears through a fenced area, making it unclear from the video whether he was eventually taken into custody. The footage also captures several unexpected moments that viewers found amusing, including a man lying on a mattress beneath a bridge while looking at his phone as the chase passed by.

The video does not identify the suspect, explain why he was being pursued, or reveal the outcome of the incident. It also provides no information about whether any arrests were made after the recording ended.

Louisiana Police Foot Chase Draws Laughs

The comment section quickly filled with jokes as viewers poked fun at what they described as one of the slowest police pursuits they had seen. Many said the suspect appeared to be jogging comfortably while the Louisiana police officers struggled to gain ground, with several comparing the chase to the slow-motion feeling of running in a dream. One user joked, “This ain’t a chase, this a jogging club.”

Many commenters also criticized the Louisiana officers’ apparent lack of urgency, saying they expected police to move much faster during a foot pursuit. Some suggested officers should spend more time on physical fitness, while others sarcastically questioned whether this was the kind of performance taxpayers were paying for. Several found it especially funny that the suspect never appeared to sprint yet still stayed ahead of the pursuing officers.

Others focused on the unusual background details captured in the video. Some claimed the chase took place near a police station, making the slow pursuit seem even more ironic, while many laughed at the man relaxing on a mattress under the bridge, saying he nearly stole the spotlight from the chase itself.

Whether the Louisiana suspect escaped or not remains unknown, but one thing was certain: for many viewers, the real winner of the race was the comment section.
