Nothing like a hot cup of street harassment to start the day, right? Just imagine: it’s rush hour, and maybe you’re running late. You cross the street, and some stranger with a camera calls out to demand your opinions about the family services clinic you’re passing. That’s what happened to one woman in Illinois, and her response is sparking intense discussion in the comments.
According to a post by creator @Juaneliasriesco of TikTok, it’s 8:30 in the morning. He’s set up outside the Family Planning Association Medical Group in Chicago, Illinois. A woman crossing the street enters the shot. Before she’s out of the street, he asks if she’s aware of what “they” do inside the building. He indicates the Illinois family planning center.
Without missing a step, she spits out a forceful curse at him, then turns and thanks the two doctors’ office workers stationed at the building’s entrance. When the creator tries to speak again, he’s cut off by another pointed f-bomb before the woman continues on her way.
Creator Juan Riesco is a self-proclaimed missionary to “abortion mills” in the Chicago, Illinois area. Notably, however, the woman was not going into the clinic. Furthermore, the center operates like Planned Parenthood. Women seek services for various gender-specific healthcare. This includes providing routine screenings, birth control, and yes, on occasion, abortions.
For this reason, protesting clinics and centers where comprehensive family planning services are rendered has been a cornerstone of the Christian-based Pro-Life movement. It’s the woman’s walk-by shutdown that has this creator’s post sparking discussion.

One commenter offered some telling insight: “This dude used to own a deli in Chicago and for years has been homophobic, racist, anti-vax, anti-mask, a COVID denier, and was cited for ignoring Chicago’s vaccine rules in the pandemic. I’m just glad my fellow Chicagoans are putting him in his place.”
Another added, “he had a gay phase that he apparently prayed away…” which seemed to put his mission into context for many other commenters, one of which summarized, “He can’t control his attraction to other men, so he tries to control the bodies of women.”
Still, one commenter had the most based response of all. “Weird for this dude to post their own L.” Colloquially, an “L” is when you lose or fail at an objective. Typically, these moments are captured from a third-person vantage point.
When he could have refrained from embarrassing himself across the internet, he chose to upload anyway. Oof. Is clout-chasing, no matter how self-disparaging, the new recession indicator?
