An Arizona man says he was harassed while detailing an SUV after a woman claiming to be a Harvard-educated lawyer confronted him in a residential parking lot. The detailer says he had permission to work there and believes the woman was trying to intimidate him into leaving despite having the proper authorization.

Premium detail package on this suv- had permission from the hoa to use this parking lot for temporary use. Lady claimed she was a lawyer from Harvard later on for no reason it seemed she was trying to scare me off. Have valid permits aswell and was not bothering anyone just doing my job.

The incident was shared by TikTok user @saguaroautodetailing, who regularly posts videos of his mobile detailing business. The clip quickly gained traction on the platform, attracting more than three million views along with thousands of comments discussing the confrontation.

The video shows the woman asking the detailer while he is cleaning an SUV and questioning why he is there. She repeatedly asks who owns the vehicle and when he plans to finish the job before telling him to leave the parking lot. At one point, she uses profanity and insists there are other places where he could be working. Throughout the encounter, the detailer remains calm and continues cleaning the vehicle without raising his voice or engaging in an argument.

In the video’s caption, the man explained that the SUV was receiving a premium detailing package and that he had obtained permission from the homeowners association (HOA) to temporarily use the parking lot while completing the service. He also said he had the required permits and was not blocking traffic or disturbing anyone.

According to the detailer, the woman later claimed she was a lawyer who graduated from Harvard, which he believed was an attempt to pressure him into leaving. Despite the confrontation, he chose to continue working until the detailing job was complete.

Arizona Detailer Receives Online Support

The video’s comment section was largely supportive of the man, with many viewers praising how calmly he handled the situation. Several said they would not have stayed as composed, while others applauded him for maintaining a professional attitude throughout the encounter. The creator later responded that he intentionally remained respectful because he believed representing his business professionally was the best way to handle the situation. “How does washing a car disturb you? IDK why people have to be so miserable,” one user wrote.

Some commenters questioned the woman’s actions, saying they could not understand why someone would confront a person who appeared to be doing legitimate work. Others felt additional context was needed before reaching a conclusion, asking whether the Arizona detailer had been blocking parking spaces, using reserved spots, or regularly working in the area in a way that might have frustrated residents.

Not every comment focused on the confrontation. A number of viewers turned the discussion toward the detailing process itself, asking about the tools and equipment being used. Others debated his washing techniques, with one commenter questioning whether his setup was appropriate for a premium detailing service. The comment section ultimately became a mix of support for the detailer, questions about the parking situation, and conversations about the best way to clean a car.

The parking lot drama in Arizona may have ended, but the detailing tips probably earned almost as much attention as the argument itself.
