An Illinois family was trying to spend time at their apartment pool when they were confronted by an angry local woman. The Karen tried to tell them she was the “pool monitor” and implied that they weren’t supposed to be there. This ended in a confrontation and police being called.

Rose (@rosseee_22) and her family were approached by a Karen at their local Illinois pool. She tried to ask them which apartment was theirs and they refused to give up this info to a stranger. Rose starts recording just as the angry local woman states, “I’m calling the police.” She angrily demands to know their apartment and building number but they won’t answer her. One of Rose’s family members, who is already in the pool area, asked, “How do you think I got in here?” The woman answers, “With somebody else’s number.”

I literally do not bother ANYBODY. I go to work, home, & church! After she had already called… I told her when she make sure you let them we BLACK… they came 3 deep for lil ole me 🤷🏽‍♀️

The woman is relentless and doesn’t stop there, though. She continues on, “I am the pool monitor for the office and I am asking you, what is your apartment number?” She continues demanding this information but they won’t give it to her. In fact, they tell her to call the police so they can deal with it. The Karen warns them, “If you are a resident and Terry sees this, you might get your access withdrawn.” She becomes more and more agitated as they accuse her of not actually working for the management office.

In an update video, police arrived on scene. Police try to get more info about the situation and an officer laughs as he asks, “Did she identify herself?” He’s baffled as he tries to figure out if the woman actually works there or not. It turns out, none of them can verify that she actually does work for the management office. Rose says the Karen started putting on “white women tears” when police arrived on scene. They allow Rose and her family to enjoy their day at the pool, uninterrupted this time.

The video immediately sparked reactions from commenters. Many commenters took Rose’s side on the matter, baffled by how this random woman acted during the encounter. One commenter quipped, “Wtf is a pool monitor? Is that like a hallway monitor???” Another asked, “So, you’re supposed to give your apartment number to some random lady that just walks up and asks?” One commenter even pointed out, “Impersonating an employee is grounds for eviction. You got it all on cam where she said that bs. Fight it! Please don’t let that go!” Commenters continue to share their surprised reactions and opinions on Rose’s video.
