A mother in Arizona went to pick up her daughter after her first day of school, only to find out that no one knew where she was. The mother herself ended up finding her daughter after a 30-minute search, leading to many worried viewers and a very upset woman.
The tense moment was caught on camera by Aretzii. She is a content creator who often shares her dance routines, lifestyle content, and family posts with her daughter, Genesis. The clip attached above became her biggest clip ever, garnering 2.1 million views, 198,100 likes, and more than 4,100 comments.
The Arizona woman had just arrived for her daughter’s first school pickup. Immediately, she knew something was wrong: she couldn’t find her girl. Therefore, she decided to ask a school staff member directly about her daughter’s whereabouts. The response she got was not reassuring at all.
“Where is she, then?” Aretzii asked. The staff member answered, “I don’t know. We’re gonna… Don’t worry. We’ll find her. She’s here somewhere. She may be in the office.”
Searching Aimlessly
The mother and the staff member walked toward the office, with the former frantically waiting for her girl to pop up. During the 46-second clip, that didn’t happen. Instead, both women walked aimlessly through the school grounds, with the staff member calling the girl’s name.
“Does she have any siblings? Cousins?” the staff member asked. Aretzii answered, “No.”
The clip ended there, but according to a previous TikTok, the Arizona woman ended up looking for her daughter for a whopping 30 minutes. It is unclear where Genesis was at the time and how the mother found her.
Social Media Reactions
The video sparked multiple responses from viewers who were angry at how a school can apparently lose a child that easily. One said, “Call the cops and file a report. Document EVERYTHING.” Another one commented, “Her tone and lack of empathy are ridiculous.”
Others shared nightmare stories of their own. One wrote, “The substitute teacher ‘accidentally’ put my 6-year-old on a bus and shipped him off somewhere. She didn’t even remember which bus.” Another one added, “Girl, this happened to my son! They lost him, I took him out, and he’s been homeschooled ever since.”
In a follow-up clip, Aretzii showed that her daughter was doing just fine. Many asked for an update, while others chose to give the mother a break.
