Florida U.S. Senate candidate and pardoned January 6 defendant Jake Lang is drawing criticism after posting a video of himself outside a Tennessee mosque handing out pork sandwiches while making inflammatory remarks about Muslims.
The clip has attracted attention from viewers who are reacting not only to the controversial stunt but also to Lang’s political and legal history.
In the clip, which was uploaded to X by @JakeLang, Lang can be seen standing outside the Islamic Center of Nashville, Tennessee, handing out trays of pulled pork he says came from his “brother Papa’s chuck wagon,” while a truck driven by an associate is seen displaying signs reading “DEPORT ALL MUSLIMS” and “DEPORT 100 MILLION SAVE AMERICA.” The Islamic Center of Nashville, founded in 1978, describes itself as one of the oldest mosques in Tennessee.
Lang tells the camera, “We need to stand up American men. Christians, your country is being taken over by Muslims every day as you sit idly by.”
He names Democratic politicians Zohran Mamdani, Abdul Saeed, and Ilhan Omar before asking, “What is it going to be next? The President of the United States of America?”
He goes on to say, “This is a Christian nation. We eat pork in this nation,” followed by, “Get the *expletive* out, Muslims.”
Internet Reacts to Jake Lang’s Tennessee Mosque Stunt
The video drew heavy mockery in the comments, with several people pointing to Lang’s own legal history. One commenter wrote, “Aren’t you out on parole?” Another said, “Oh wow, you’re so edgy! Do you not have better things to do you sad-sack pathetic oxygen-thief excuse for a man?”
Others dismissed the stunt outright. A separate commenter wrote, “Middle ages are over you *expletive* idiot! Take your *expletive* religious war somewhere else.”
Another asked, “What value could you possible bring to humanity.” A fifth commenter wrote, “The paid agitator showed up for his daily pearl clutching. You’re such a loser.”
Lang has previously made similar inflammatory remarks toward Muslim-Americans, including handing out pork sandwiches to members of the community in Dearborn and Hamtramck, Michigan, as well as in New York’s Gracie Mansion, while calling for a ban on Islam if he becomes president, according to the American Jewish Committee.
Pork is prohibited under Islamic dietary law, making Lang’s decision to distribute pork outside a mosque particularly provocative.
