A Nevada woman says she had no idea what she was looking at, only that it scared her enough to start filming back. The confrontation unfolded inside a DMV office, where a group of masked people was recording, and it’s since spread across TikTok with people trying to figure out exactly who they were.
The video was shared by TikTok user @Jerzziered69 with the overlay, “I’m at DMV with masked agents filming folks.” However, the footage does not confirm that the people were federal agents.
The woman says she pulled out her phone because the situation seemed strange. She questions why the group entered with cameras and masks without explaining themselves.
“I have a child here,” she says. “That’s why I’m angry. My child is in the next room.”
She also raises concerns about racism and violence against Black people. She tells the group to move away and says, “I rebuke y’all.”
When they ask her to stop recording, she refuses and points out that they are recording too. She says she is filming because she wants to make sure nothing happens, adding that she does not know whether the group could have a van outside to “snatch up people.”
The woman then questions why they came into the DMV with cameras and face masks, while her own face is uncovered. She then dismisses the idea that they are wearing masks because of COVID, saying, “We talk about right now why is y’all being weird it’s contradictory what you’re saying all right.”
The argument continues as she waits for her ride. She repeatedly accuses the group of “disturbing my peace” and harassing her. She says she cannot leave because her ride has not arrived.
The video ends with the argument continuing. It does not show why the masked people were at the DMV or who they were.
Internet Reacts to Nevada DMV Confrontation
The video sparked debate online, with many commenters siding with the woman and others questioning who the masked group actually was.
One commenter wrote, “The whole point is why do they need to be masked if they’re not doing something wrong.” Another said, “Thank you for posting this!! we need to see what these guys are doing. They’re testing us in public places to see how they can intimidate us at the polls this year.” A third pointed to the DMV’s own security presence, writing, “The fact there’s two ‘security guards’ sitting there and NOT doing anything is ashamed and suspicious.”
Other commenters speculated about the group’s purpose entirely. One wrote, “This is probably ice agents using face recognition to check people status this is so weird I have never seen a audit done like this,” while another offered support, saying, “Just know you’re in the right! There shouldn’t be no masked person in a DMV.”
The incident comes amid increased attention around federal immigration enforcement in Nevada. However, there is no evidence connecting the people in this DMV video to other recent ICE incidents in the state.
