A new feature is added to the Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire experience. After completing the in-game mission, players will see a Wanted Poster of themselves. These posters are very unique and feature a photo of your characters as if taken from a security camera. They also list your crimes as done in the game, as well as the bounty the Empire placed on your head. Much like a score, you get in other video games to determine how well you completed the mission, the higher the bounty the more dangerous you are considered. The posters were inspired by the Wanted posters for the characters in Star Wars: Rebels.
This is a fun addition to an already exciting game for Star Wars fans. Secrets of the Empire is a location-based virtual reality game that uses your full senses. It was created by ILMxLAB and The VOID. As a player, you are in teams of four and disguised as Storm Troopers. Accompanied by the droid K-2SO of Rogue One, you are on Mustafar to steal secrets from the Empire. In terms of timeline, this takes place before the Rebel Alliance was completely official. When only small pockets of rebellion existed.
So where can you play this game? Currently, there are five locations where Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire is available. The Downtown Disney district in Anaheim, CA, the Rec Room in West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, AB, the Glendale Galleria in Glendale, CA, the Grand Canal Shoppes in Las Vegas, NV, and Disney Springs in Orlando, FL. In all locations, you will be looking for The VOID. Tickets are around $30 depending on which location you enjoy the game at.
Star Wars movies, television shows, video games, comics, and other products don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Thanks to that, we can hopefully look forward to more virtual reality experiences like this spread around the world.
