A Texas man claims he was fired from his manager position at Ulta Beauty after he posted a TikTok video. In the viral video, he gives a “PSA: To Beth P” about an unattended drink left on a shelf in the skincare aisle. He states, “I just want to let you know that you did forget your grande [drink].”
He goes on to list the ingredients and says he’ll have it waiting at the front. Then asks if she could “maybe possibly throw it away,” before adding, “You disgusting human being.” This video received over 462,000 views. However, according to the Texas man, not everyone was happy about it. He posted another TikTok, claiming he was fired for that video. He explains that he was working an eight-hour shift when his general manager called him into her office. The man states, “The GM just starts talking, and she’s reading my termination letter, and they’re saying it’s for harassment and bullying.”
The letter also allegedly said he was fired for filming. The Texas man states that it was difficult to comprehend what was happening. After the meeting, he retrieved his stuff, turned in his keys, and left. However, he says he’s most surprised that he was the one fired. He claims he has “horror stories” about his general manager. The man states he is surprised given “how horrible of a person she is, yet she still has a job there.” He believes this plays into why he was fired. When he posted the viral video, he “didn’t think anything was going to come from it.” He adds that his “disgusting human being” comment was a joke. The video has gotten over 73,000 views and over 8,000 likes since it was posted.
Several See Nothing Wrong With Texas Man’s Video
Many commenters are on his side and call out Ulta Beauty as ‘the worst place’ to work. One says, “Ulta is the biggest mean girl culture I’ve ever been a part of!” Another agrees, “Ulta was the worst job I’ve ever had. It’s mean girl city with [expletive] managers.” A third commenter says, “If you want to survive in Ulta management, you’ve got to sell your soul and any human decency you may have.”
However, several say there was nothing wrong with his video. One person finds the situation ridiculous. They state, “Beth P deserved to be called out for being gross leaving her drink around – it’s unsanitary!” Another adds, “OMG BETH! See what you did!” One commenter is shocked: “Can’t believe Ulta fired you for posting a video that benefits the store by reminding people not to leave their trash behind!”
While he appreciates the curiosity and support, the Texas man has decided not to share any ‘horror stories’ about his previous co-workers. He claims his account is being monitored by his former employers, and he doesn’t want to be sued.
