A woman in California shared her experience of meeting a man who initially appeared to have nothing but green flags, only for him to send her a shocking message that completely changed her impression of him.
The woman, named Cydney, shared a video explaining that she was supposed to go on a date with the man but decided not to after receiving a text from him. The two had first met the previous year, and she recalled that he had been kind to her. At the time, he asked for her number, but she declined because she was not dating. He respected her decision without making things uncomfortable, which was viewed as one of his green flags.
They met another time, but nothing happened between them. The third time they happened to meet, he asked for her number again, and she agreed. At that point, Cydney said that nothing appeared to be wrong with him. As they continued talking, the two agreed to go on a date through text messages. He also asked for her permission before calling her on the phone, which was viewed as another positive sign.
The next green flag came when the man asked Cydney how old she was before the date. He continued asking questions to help prepare for their plans, including what restaurants she liked and whether she had any allergies. After getting the information he needed, he made the reservation as they had agreed.
Despite their conversations being normal up to that point, everything changed the night before their anticipated date. While Cydney was sleeping, the man sent her a text around 12:30 a.m. The message included screenshots of a conversation between him and one of his friends.

In the screenshots, the man encouraged his friend to “go for it” when it came to matching with Cydney on Hinge. He then made a shocking suggestion, telling his friend, “maybe we can tag team her.” Cydney was left speechless after discovering the message, saying in her video, “You actually cannot tag team me.”
She continued, saying, “That was never an option. That was never gonna be an option.” Cydney added that nothing in her conversations with the man should have given him the impression that she would be comfortable with that kind of language or proposition. She ultimately deleted the conversation and blocked his contact, making it clear that she had no intention of speaking to him again after what he had said. The rest of the video focused on her disbelief over the situation.
