A LongHorn Steakhouse employee in Georgia has gone viral after posting videos showing roaches crawling around the kitchen and food waste scattered across the workspace. Sean Headley, who works at the Camp Creek Parkway location, said he recorded the footage after growing frustrated with the conditions he was expected to work in.
The footage was posted to social media and was reposted across multiple platforms, eventually gaining millions of views and attracting attention from major news outlets like Fox News. The response has focused heavily on the conditions shown inside the restaurant and whether management did enough to address them.
The videos show roaches moving across the kitchen floor, along with food waste and trash scattered around the workspace. The footage has raised concerns among viewers about cleanliness and the conditions employees are expected to work in.
LongHorn Steakhouse has since addressed the footage, calling the conditions shown unacceptable. The company said it had addressed the issues and placed a new leader at the restaurant to ensure standards were maintained.
According to Fox News, health officials have not released the Georgia restaurant’s latest inspection score following the viral videos. LongHorn also has not said whether it fired any employees or former managers over the conditions shown.
Georgia LongHorn Video Leaves Viewers Fuming
The reaction on TikTok was largely split between people defending Headley and others blaming him for the mess. Many commenters praised him for speaking up, arguing that employees should not have to work in those conditions and that customers deserve to know what happens behind the scenes. Some even suggested he should be rewarded or hired elsewhere. “Boy u definitely getting fired but yea health inspector,” one user wrote.
Others questioned why Headley did not simply clean the kitchen himself, arguing that food waste and trash were partly the employees’ responsibility. Several commenters said the situation could instead come down to management, staffing, or a lack of proper cleaning supplies rather than one employee refusing to do his job.
Many viewers were surprised to see the conditions at a Darden-owned restaurant, saying they expected stricter cleanliness standards. Others claimed similar problems happen at restaurants across the industry, including other Darden locations. Former restaurant and pest-control workers also said customers would be surprised by what some kitchens look like behind the scenes.
Health inspections became another major talking point. Commenters questioned how a restaurant in Georgia could receive a high score despite the conditions shown, while others called for more frequent or random inspections. Some viewers said the footage was enough to convince them to stop eating out and cook at home instead.
At this point, the viral videos have raised plenty of questions, but the kitchen cleanup is only one part of the story. The bigger question is how conditions like these were allowed to continue in the first place.
