A resident living in Dallas, Texas, received more than just a package for their lastest delivery, with the driver allegedly leaving something behind they didn’t ask for. In a post shared on r/mildlyinfuriating, Reddit user banana0coconut, aka Frost, shared a photo of their garage door, with something hand-drawn on it. Frost explained that the driver usually places packages on the porch or in the mailbox, but this time it was placed at the garage door.

“Whoever delivered it drew on the garage door in big black marker, just the address number,” Frost wrote, admittedly confused. Rather than being understanding, many aggressive people entered the comments, ready to defend or justify the deliveryman’s actions. “Out of curiosity, do you have a visible Address sign on your house? I suspect the driver was bitter they couldn’t find the number and tried to prove a point,” wrote a commenter.

Several Redditors Defended the Delieryman’s Actions

“As a DoorDash driver, people who don’t have visible house numbers can [expletive] off,” remarked another. Several others added that people without address numbers can be troublesome when it comes to deliveries and navigation for paramedics, among other things. “Put your address visible on your house/mailbox,” demanded a third. Countless others added that the marker is probably easy to clean off the garage door, implying OP is just whining.

However, Frost later updated their post, both in the description and the comments, confirming that they do indeed have an iron plaque in front of the house displaying their address number. One person tried to argue that maybe the driver couldn’t see the number because it was night, to which OP responded, “It was daytime when it was delivered so it was very visible, but I do agree at night it is a lot harder in comparison. Thanks for the advice!”

With hundreds of upvotes, one commenter supported OP’s claim, saying, “That’s definitely legit then. Delivery vandalized your house. Did you call the company about it?” Frost replied that at first they didn’t want to be responsible for someone potentially losing their job. Still, after considering how this allegedly unprofessional driver might be vandalizing other people’s homes, they might report the incident. As one Reddit user put it, “This is totally unacceptable from the driver even if they couldn’t find your address.”

As to whether the marker actually came off the garage door, Frost shared an unfortunate yet cheerful update: “Not much luck with the marker so far, but I’m sure I’ll find some way! Luckily I am persistent!”
