A Michigan woman with a beautiful piece of personal rock art in her yard thought she’d share it with the world. Unfortunately, a Facebook user with an agenda had a different idea. Soon, police showed up at her house and she was left to explain her art and hope for the best.
Daphne (@momager1214) says that state police showed up at her house following a Facebook post she made in a rock group. She posted a picture of rock art she was making in her own yard. She was shocked that police showed up on her own private property to look at her art and make sure it was okay for her to have in her yard.
Police viewed her rock art and told her, “It’s your property; you can do whatever you want. Sorry to bother you” after the call was made against her. Daphne tells her audience that she wants to show the art that got the police called on her. She shows the beautiful rock art she made in her yard. The art features thousands of rocks in all colors, placed around in a shooting star formation. Her yard, which is in the middle of the woods, stands out and looks absolutely gorgeous with this centerpiece made by her own hands.
The video immediately sparked reactions from commenters, many of whom were confused about who would call police about her art. One commenter asked, “I’m so confused, why did they call the police?” Daphne replied to this, “MI law is you can only take 24 pounds of rocks a year from state beaches.” Another commenter pointed out, “I’m going to add that had they not called, I wouldn’t have seen this amazing masterpiece.”
Daphne cleared up any concerns by saying that the rocks she used in this piece didn’t actually come from nearby beaches. As she told one commenter, she got them “from her property.” To this, one commenter stated, “People need to mind their own business.” The video continues to bring in comments and reactions as it gains popularity on social media.
