An Arizona Karen has a dramatic response after her car gets repossessed. The TikTok video was posted by an employee of the repo service, S&M Asset Recovery, and has received over 54,000 views since it was posted. In it, you can hear the woman on the phone, stating, “I can’t leave. I don’t want them to take off with my car!”
The woman claims she is making payments on the car she leased from Premiere Auto Credit, and argues that what is happening is illegal. She confronts the repo men, arguing, “You need to get your boss on the phone right now!” The man assures her that his boss was on the way. The Arizona woman responds, “Good, because this is illegal! This is Grand Theft Auto!” The man insists that he has a repo order for the vehicle and that they’re just doing their jobs. Following this, the woman calls 911 and asks for them to send an officer to her location. The officer is seen at the end of the video.
The Arizona woman proceeds to call the company she’s leasing through. While the person on the phone can’t be heard, you can make out the woman’s side of the conversation. She informs them, “All because I missed one [expletive] payment on a registration loan.” However, she then shifts gears in the conversation, stating, “They’re ready to take off, so I need you guys to press charges for grand theft auto.” The company informs her that they’re the ones who sent the repo note, allegedly over the registration loan and payments. This makes the woman break down, stating that she can’t get to work and claims, “I didn’t do anything wrong!“
People Have No Sympathy For Arizona Karen
Several in the comments have no sympathy for the Arizona woman, claiming she needed to make her payments on time. Some feel she overreacted to the situation, such as one who says, “When mine got taken, I just cried and let the man do his job. It was my fault, not his.” Another adds, “The finance company has every right to take the vehicle.” A third person comments, “Are you trying to tell me, if you buy a car and not pay your monthly payments, they will take the car back? CRAZY!!!“
Meanwhile, others in the comments find humor in the situation. One commenter jokes, “I would change my truck sign to include. ‘Doing Grand Theft Auto since 1979’.” Another person adds, “I love how she calls the company that sent the tow truck 😂.” One commenter asks, “How do you not laugh? The Arizona repo company confirms in the comments that they were able to leave with the car. However, it is unknown if the woman was able to get her car back afterward.
