A woman in Bellevue, Washington, was flabbergasted to learn that her brother decided to screenshot one of her paintings and print it to display at his home. Safe to say, the artist was not a fan of that, and while the man has since backed down from his screenshotting venture, many on the internet saw him as a walking red flag.
Breanna Gillan, also known as bre_doing_art, shared the sibling relationship tragedy online. She is an artist who often showcases her paintings, prints, and digital designs online. The video attached above became one of her biggest in a matter of days. It garnered 567,200 views, 129,400 likes, and more than 900 comments.
The Washington woman straight up told her audience that her brother had “betrayed” him. First off, Breanna explained that she had been working on a painting for her brother, which could be seen in the background. However, the man changed his mind all of a sudden, choosing a black one that would match his “bedroom color scheme.”
Fortunately for both siblings, Breanna had been working on a painting with far darker tones. She offered to finish that painting and send it to her brother instead. The man, however, thought that wasn’t necessary at all and chose to expedite the whole process.
He screenshotted that photo, went to a print shop, printed it out, and hung that up,” Breanna said.
Breanna called this a “nightmare,” saying that she isn’t even a fan of showing her finished art pieces to her people, let alone unfinished ones. As a result, she begged her brother to reconsider. He, in turn, asked her if she could finish the painting that very same day. The Washington woman said no, and her brother told her to finish it up in Photoshop. Breanna had had enough.
“Not how that works. So, yeah. Brothers are evil,” she said.

Many viewers agreed with Breanna’s assessment and decided to bash her brother relentlessly online. One said, “Listen, I get it, that’s your sibling…. But call a lawyer.” Another one commented, “Don’t ever paint him anything ever again.“
The backlash didn’t stop there. One wrote, “I’m not even joking. I would cut him off over this… Like, I don’t have the patience.” Another one added, “Oh. I would be an only child again by the end of the day.”
Thankfully, Breanna managed to salvage her relationship with her brother. In a follow-up clip, she revealed that he had decided to take down his printed, incomplete version of Breanna’s painting. In turn, she finished the painting and sent it to him.
