A Connecticut woman allegedly yelled a racial slur at a Black driver during a road-rage confrontation in Watertown. The incident happened on Main Street near Beller Road. The driver says the woman cut him off and threw trash at his car. He also claims she repeatedly used the N-word during the confrontation.

All because she couldn’t wait in traffic cut me off then started calling me out my name

The roughly two-minute video was shared on TikTok by @jamie.reid72. The driver films from inside his gray vehicle as the woman stands in the middle of the road. He repeatedly tells her, “Call me a *expletive* again” and accuses her of throwing trash at his car. “You threw trash at my car and you called me a *expletive*,” he says.

The footage shows a dark blue SUV nearby that the driver identifies as the woman’s vehicle. The video does not show what happened before the recording began.

A post shared on X by @LongTimeHistory claims the woman called 911 and told police she was afraid. The post also claims she described the driver as “very aggressive” and said he had New York plates.

According to the same post, the woman allegedly told police that the driver was going to kill her. The driver disputes that account. He says she was the one who got out of her vehicle and walked toward him.

The post claims police later gave the driver a citation to appear in court, though those details have not been independently verified.

Internet Reacts to Connecticut Road Rage Video

The incident drew strong reactions in the comments. One person wrote, “When people are afraid for their lives…they run….they don’t stand in front of the assumed threat!” Another wrote, “I hope I’m never present when this foolishness happens. Don’t know if I’ll be able to contain the fury that has built up over the decades.”

A third commenter focused on the legal side, writing, “Intentionally restricting someone’s freedom of movement w/o their consent can lead to misdemeanor or felony criminal charges.”

Other commenters questioned whether the woman appeared afraid in the footage. “What. Is. WRONG. With. Her? She certainly doesn’t look fearful. Disgraceful,” one person wrote. Another added, “She doesn’t look particularly fearful to me. If I were the cop, I would’ve arrested her. Idk if the cop has the right to look at his video at the scene, but she has absolutely no case.”

The video does not show the arrival of police. The details about what the woman told police and the citation come from the X caption and the driver’s account.
