A Connecticut woman is facing criticism online after appearing to suggest in a video that Trump should be assassinated.

X user @libsoftiktok shared a video allegedly made by a woman named Lucy Craig and called on the FBI to investigate the matter. The user emphasized the seriousness of the clip, writing, “Hey @FBI, here is ANOTHER TikToker calling for President Trump to be ass*ssinated.”

“Yeah, the reasons that you guys are giving for not stopping this don’t make any [expletive] sense,” the woman began the video by saying. She did not explicitly identify what she meant by “this.” However, it appeared she was referring to Trump’s presidency, particularly given her subsequent comments.

“This could be so easily stopped,” she continued. She then added, “This could be stopped the same way that JFK was stopped, right? Right? But y’all aren’t doing that. So I have to assume that you want this and that this is all fear and that’s have been the plan all along and all of you are in on it.” Although the woman did not mention Trump by name, viewers online believed her comments were directed at the president.

Her video also comes amid ongoing concerns about threats against Trump. Some people have been sharing online videos and statements they interpret as references to violence against the president. However, it remains unclear whether the FBI would investigate the woman’s remarks. Federal authorities can assess statements that appear to suggest violence against a president. This is even when the individual does not explicitly identify the intended target.

In this case, the woman’s reference to how JFK was “stopped” led viewers to believe she was alluding to Trump. However, the video alone does not establish who she intended to target or whether her remarks constituted a credible threat. Whether the FBI would pursue the matter would depend on the context of her statements. This is along with any additional evidence available to investigators.

Viewers Outraged Over Connecticut Woman’s Alleged Threat Against Trump

After watching the Connecticut woman’s video, many viewers interpreted her remarks as a reference to assassinating Trump. They called for her to face consequences. “This is how sick the Democrats are!” one person wrote. Another expressed frustration over what they viewed as unequal treatment of political groups, saying, “They really are making it into an atmosphere where I don’t give a [expletive] if a Fed white van just rolls up and drags these people away. They did it to all the J6ers, why do we have such a hard time going after them for actual crimes?”

Other viewers criticized the woman and called for her arrest. “@SecretService @DHSgov @FBIDirectorKash @FBIWFO @TheJusticeDept @POTUS Let’s arrest this person who is in the video threatening the presidents life.. which is actually ILLEGAL to even say it..,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “These people should be locked up. I don’t ever remember conservatives calling for the unliving of previous presidents.”

The controversy also led viewers to debate how authorities should interpret statements that appear to suggest political violence when the intended target is not explicitly named. Some questioned what evidence would be needed to establish a credible threat. Others also discussed what legal consequences, if any, would be appropriate in such circumstances.
