Many Flameborn might be looking forward to starting a brand-new adventure from scratch, but there are a few who are just ready to see what awaits in this long-awaited 1.0 update. One of the new things coming to the full release is the final biome of Enshrouded: Cinder’s Cradle. And while it might be enticing to rush toward it as soon as possible, you’ll actually need to do a few things before discovering it, which is why we’ve made a quick guide to help you.
The Crown of Sorrow Quest

Before going off to the starting point of Cinder’s Cradle in Enshrouded, you’ll have to complete the Crown of Sorrow quest, which requires you to find the Broken Guard of the North Crown inside the Cromville Throne Room. The location will be marked on your map, and the easiest way to reach it is by heading north from the Cromville Hot Spring and climbing the ramparts to reach the castle. We cheesed this by bringing a few bombs with us to open a path toward the throne room. Once inside, just interact with the crown on the throne.
Upgrade Your Flame to Level 10

And now, here comes the difficult, or rather, time-consuming part. To venture inside the shroud that covers Cinder’s Cradle in Enshrouded, you’ll need to strengthen your Flame to level 10. For that, you’ll need the following:
- 16 Survivors
- Spark x60
- Broken Guard Of The North Crown (Obtainable through the above quest)
- Gleam Root Dust x15
- Piscine Ivory Dust x10
- Drak Blood x30
- Shroud Sludge x10
- Daylily x30
Once you have all the items, strengthen the Flame and get ready for a long journey.
Reach the Ancient Gate

The entrance to Cinder’s Cradle is through the Ancient Gate, which is located between Cromville Hot Spring and Lake Luma. If you have any Flame Altar nearby, make sure to fast travel to it. If you don’t have anything to fast travel to, teleport to the Ancient Spire at Veilwater Basin and head north. It’s a long journey, though.
Once you reach the Ancient Gate, just go through it, and you’ll be in the new fiery zone. Keep in mind that this biome is among the most challenging, yet one with several new materials to craft new things for your base and Flameborn. As a recommendation, place an altar outside the Ancient Gate or once you find a safe spot inside the new biome.
