A woman in Los Angeles, California, ordered some wings, only for them to be thrown in the trash by her mother. A back-and-forth ensued, during which the older lady called her a “fat bulimic cow,” prompting online concern and backlash.
Mikayla, also known as yungmoneymiki, shared the awkward and upsetting moment on TikTok. She is a content creator who often posts trends, sometimes featuring her friends. The clip attached above went viral, garnering 323,200 views, 26,100 likes, and close to 500 comments in a day.
The California woman showed what was left of her food. She had ordered some food from Buffalo Wild Wings, but all that remained was a single wing and some chips. The rest of the wings from the arguably large order were in the trash. The culprit? Mikayla’s mother.
“She threw away every piece of chicken but one. She said it was because I threw away her food,” Mikayla said, later clarifying she didn’t know where her mother got that from. “All that food, gone to waste. The first meal that I was gonna eat today, she [expletive] threw it away because I set it down on the counter and walked away from her.”
As Mikayla was storing whatever was left from her meal in the fridge, her mother could be heard saying something to her at a distance. While almost unintelligible to the viewer, the woman, according to Mikayla, called her a “fat bulimic cow.“
A brief back-and-forth followed, as both California women had a heated argument over the distasteful comment. Mikayla then threw away the bag and walked toward her room.
“I’m a fat bulimic cow, so apparently I don’t get to eat. Goodbye, DoorDash. Thanks for [expletive] wasting my money,” she added.

The video sparked many responses online, mostly from viewers who reacted to the arguably toxic environment that is Mikayla’s home. One said, “Girl, you need to get out ASAP.” Another one commented, “I’m so sorry, she sounds like a narcissist.”
Many more continued to berate the mother in the comments. One wrote, “I’ll never treat my kids this way.” Another one added, “I think a parent who acts this way never wanted to be a parent to begin with.” Mikayla agreed, believing her mother never wanted to have her in the first place.
In the comments, Mikayla detailed that she mostly stays in her room and works, reducing the interactions to a minimum. Furthermore, she even accused her of telling her she was starving herself and ridiculing her for being “emaciated.”
