Recently, Trump drew attention online after ordering a McDonald’s meal via DoorDash for delivery to the White House, which many users described as a publicity stunt. The incident also led to online speculation and conspiracy theories claiming the delivery driver was a paid actor. Following this, HelloFresh, a meal-kit delivery service that provides ingredients and recipes for home cooking, was seen making a mocking reference to the situation, causing some serious drama.

In a post that sparked online controversy, HelloFresh made an ironic remark suggesting that Trump might struggle with a basic cooking step if given one of its meal kits. The company wrote, “We considered dropping off a HelloFresh box at a very famous house (painted white)… but we didn’t want to overwhelm anyone with ‘step 1: preheat oven.’.”

The post sparked reactions online. Many viewers supported HelloFresh for its post referencing Trump, with some saying they preferred its stance to that of other brands involved in the discussion. “I canceled my DoorDash app,” one person wrote. Another added, “Cancelled DoorDash and renewed my Hello Fresh subscription!” Others questioned the decision by DoorDash to participate in the White House delivery stunt, with one user saying, “as someone who works in marketing it absolutely BLOWS my mind DoorDash thought that was a good idea.”

More users criticized DoorDash while expressing support for HelloFresh. “canceled doordash subscription.. I’d rather go get it myself than give them a penny..” one person wrote. Another added, “This is so needed… There are companies and corporations with better values who are willing to place the needs of their customers and employees ahead of profits and they have an opportunity to step up in these times and show us there is a better way.”
