Many of us already know that Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7 is joining the Vision cast of Final Fantasy Resonance. While many of the franchise’s characters are available from the start or are easy to locate, the One-Winged Angel is quite challenging, as it isn’t just a matter of walking up to him and adding him to your roster. You have to show him you’re the real deal. In any case, we’ve made a quick guide to show you where to find Sephiroth in Final Fantasy Resonance.
Final Fantasy Resonance: Sephiroth Location
Before attempting to find Sephiroth in Final Fantasy Resonance, you need to complete Chapter 4 and unlock your Airship. Once you have it, travel all the way to the Kingdom of Grandshelt, more specifically, where the big bridge is.

You’ll see a whirlpool like the one we marked in the image above. All you need to do is approach it and “land” on it to enter the Whirlpool Hollow.
Inside, you’ll see another Vision Crystal, similar to the ones you’ve seen in other Sanctums. However, you’ll hear the voice that tells you that to get this “ally,” you need to fight him first. Agree to the fight, and you’ll face Sephiroth.

One important thing to keep in mind is that Sephiroth is a secret boss, or super boss, meaning that it won’t be easy to beat him. For starters, the game recommends that you challenge him after reaching level 50. The fight is still pretty challenging even if you switch to Casual difficulty. As a recommendation, only attempt the fight when you’re in Chapter 6, which is when you’ll reach the level 40+ bracket.
As for what works against Sephiroth: nothing; absolutely nothing. He has no elemental weaknesses and is resistant to all status effects. On top of that, when he readies his sword, he will block and counter every physical attack, meaning that you need to focus on Magic skills only, at least for a few turns.
A general recommendation is to bring your magic-oriented characters, such as Fina and Archwitch Fina, equip Rain with a Sentinel Vision like the Warrior of Light, and bring Nichol for some buffs and defensive formations.
This will be a long fight, but if you finish it, you’ll be able to add one of the best Visions in the game to your arsenal.
