As many of you Operators know, crafting the best equipment in DMZ is a bit complicated, especially when you are risking it all in every mission. Yet, there is a way to craft things on your own and fill that stash up quickly. The way to do this is by unlocking the 3D Printer in MW4 DMZ. If you don’t know how to do it, here is a quick guide to show you how to obtain it for your FOB.
Unlocking the 3D Printer in MW4 DMZ
To unlock the 3D Printer in MW4 DMZ, all you need to do is reach DMZ Level 2. This can be done just by playing the first Dynamic Ops, which is part of the tutorial. In our case, we failed to extract and were able to reach this level just by completing a quick Ops inside the match and defeating a few AI enemies.
Once you level up, this item will become available for use inside your FOB. You can find it to the right of your Stash/Loadout.
As for how to use it, you need to approach it and look for the recipe for the item you want to craft. The recipes are divided into the following categories:
- Upgrades
- Consumables
- Plate Carriers
- Backpacks
- Tacticals
- Lethals
- Field Upgrades
- Fire Support
- Gear
- Ingredients
Just by clicking on any of the recipes, you’ll be able to see what you need for the item. If you are looking for a specific material, you can track it from the recipe, and it will appear at the top of the categories, and the game will highlight the necessary items for you.
How to Get More 3D Printer Recipes
To get more recipes, you need to either find them in some areas around the map, get them through quests, or level up. You can take a look at where to find certain recipes by looking at the information below the necessary items.
While crafting items in MW4 DMZ through the 3D Printer is extremely useful, remember that some are quite expensive to create, meaning that you’ll need to go on a few runs until you get every ingredient for them. Still, the 3D Printer is an excellent tool that can mitigate your losses and even craft some more powerful and useful equipment for the next time you deploy.
