A Black woman has accused a Georgia doctor of racial discrimination and unprofessional behavior. The woman said she visited his clinic for a physical exam and allegedly overheard him laughing with a nurse about her inability to provide a urine sample.
She posted a video on TikTok showing her later confronting the doctor and his staff. The video has gained over 11 million views and sparked heavy backlash against the doctor. Many viewers were appalled by the incident, with some questioning what could have been so funny about the woman’s struggles.
The woman, who goes by @lia.living on TikTok, said the incident happened at a medical clinic on Peachtree Industrial Blvd in Suwanee, Georgia. Lia claimed the doctor had been “dismissive” throughout her appointment. Hearing him allegedly discuss her with a nurse afterward was the last straw.
Lia said she had been unable to provide a urine sample even after drinking an entire bottle of water and following the staff’s instructions. She explained that she was dehydrated, was on her period, and had used the restroom before arriving for her appointment.
However, she claimed the doctor found her situation amusing and was laughing about it with a nurse, apparently unaware that she was still nearby.
Georgia Woman Confronts Doctor Over Alleged Mistreatment
The woman confronted the doctor and accused him of making her feel uncomfortable and discriminated against. She told him she found it “very racist and very discriminatory” that he would laugh at her for being unable to provide a urine sample, despite her efforts.
“It’s funny because I can’t give you seven drops of urine?” Lia asked the doctor. “Why in the world would you talk about your patients in that way?”
She criticized how he had allegedly treated her during the examination. “You were very matter of fact in that office. You didn’t even say your name,” Lia claimed. “You were questioning whether or not I knew my diagnosis, and you were very dismissive of me. You were like, oh, ‘you don’t know? Oh, I’ve never heard of that. Someone can’t give seven drops of urine.'”
Lia also criticized the nurse, telling her she had been “unprofessional” and needed to “do better as well.”
The doctor apologized several times but repeatedly denied that he had been talking about Lia. Whenever she asked him what they had been discussing, he appeared to look away and did not give a clear answer.
Lia eventually told them that she intended to warn others about her experience and would not be returning to the clinic. She then walked away.
Viewers React to Georgia Woman’s Allegations
Several people in the comments expressed sympathy for the woman. Some criticized the doctor, agreeing that his actions had been unprofessional.
“Why on earth would that be funny? Why is it even noteworthy to share with a nurse?” one commenter asked. “This is completely inappropriate. Others were unconvinced by the doctor’s apologies and his denial that he had been discussing the woman.

However, some viewers disagreed with Lia’s claim that the doctor’s behavior was racist. One argued, “Nothing he did was racist towards her.” Another said, “Racist is a stretch though. he’s a bad doctor but I don’t feel like what he did was racist.”
Lia wrote in her TikTok caption that she felt “so violated” by the experience that she decided to share it online. She said she was a doctor herself and had expected better treatment from another medical professional.
