A woman in Florida managed to buy back a horse she raised that was sold years ago. Moved to tears, she was shocked at the horse’s condition, as it was bone-thin. Now, she is working to get the horse back on its feet and ready to live a life at its fullest and as healthy as possible.
Carolyn La Rose shared the emotional reunion on TikTok. She is a content creator whose main focus is on her farm and her horses. As such, the video attached above quickly gained traction. In a matter of days, it garnered 282,900 views, 29,700 likes, and more than 1,100 comments.
The Florida woman said that she was in the middle of a baby shower when she received notice that Ali, a horse, had been delivered. She was raised on Carolyn’s farm and was then sold years ago. Now, she was back with Carolyn, as she bought her back from their now-former owners. She expressed feeling happy and anxious about seeing her again.
Emotional Reunion
As soon as she laid eyes on her horse, Carolyn broke down. In tears, she said, “Oh, Ali. Hi, sweet girl. Oh, I’m so glad you came.”
Ali was very thin. Her ribs were visible, a symptom of her being very underweight. Carolyn caressed the horse, as if telling her that she was going to be alright. She stopped recording at that point due to how emotional she was. Then, she detailed that she was going to run some blood work on Ali, among other tests, to make sure she was all right.
“I’m just heartbroken that she looks like this. But we’ll get you healthy in no time. Yeah. To the hay that’ll never be empty, sweet girl,” she said.
In a follow-up, Carolyn fortunately revealed that some of the tests showed that she was healthy besides the weight issue.

The Florida woman’s clip sparked multiple responses, mostly from distraught viewers given Ali’s condition. One said, “Her last owner belongs in jail.” Another one commented, “And this is why I hate people.”

By the looks of it, Carolyn has everything in control, and Ali appears to be in good hands now.
