A Washington driver was in her car when a woman walked up and accused her of blocking a school bus. According to the driver, there was no bus anywhere behind her. The confrontation was caught on camera and left viewers split. Some said she should have moved if a bus was waiting, while others felt the woman went too far.
Uploaded to TikTok by @sarahigrimaldo, the video shows a woman standing outside the Washington creator’s car. “Hi. You’re illegal,” she says, adding that the driver is blocking a bus. She throws up a middle finger and tells the driver, “You are the problem.” She says the bus needs to get by because it is picking up kids.
Sarah responded to a user’s comment, adding more context by saying there was no bus behind her and that “she must’ve been hallucinating.” She goes on to use the video’s caption to label the incident as “my first Karen moment.”
Was There Even a Bus?
Some commenters wanted to know if the Washington woman had a point. “but are you blocking a bus?” one wrote. Others simply told the creator to move her car, and someone said anyone blocking a bus that picks up kids needs to get going. Another commenter said they were on the woman’s side.
The woman’s approach drew plenty of criticism, and some commenters also remarked on her physical appearance. “Illegal what ? THE PROBLEM ? People need to chill,” a viewer said. Another said people just have no patience anymore. Someone pointed out that even if the creator had been blocking the bus, the woman could have calmly asked her to move.
People wanted the Washington creator to push back. A few urged her to step out and defend herself, warning that the behavior will continue otherwise. Others would have leaned on the horn, or lowered the window slightly and turned the music up. A different viewer would have stayed put. “The unprovoked middle finger would’ve made her and the bus wait at least another 5 minutes,” they said.
Other viewers backed the creator and pointed to what the video shows. “DID YALL NOT SEE THE [expletive] VIDEO??? THERE WAS NO BUS,” someone asked. Another noted the crosswalk and the turn, which suggested the Washington driver was simply waiting to get out of the way.
For many commenters, the woman’s attitude was the issue, whether a bus was there or not. They felt she could have asked the creator to move without getting nasty.
