Microsoft had founded and been continuing to build The Initiative. Microsoft wants to build an exclusive lineup similar to games like an Uncharted series, and other very well received exclusive games that Sony has. Talent like Brian Westergaard, Annie Lohr, Blake Fischer, Christian Cantamessa, Daniel Neuburger, and Lindsey McQueeney has become part of the team and now there is a new person being hired.

Many gamers have noticed that the LinkedIn of Chris O Neil EX Senior Level Designer of 2018’s God Of War is now working for Microsofts Initiative. His work history has been worked at Sony Monica and Kojima Production.

Microsoft has been discussing the new studios along with The Initiative saying that they want more exclusives on their console. Microsoft says

“The foundation we have in place for The Initiative is unique in many ways. We’ve been given the freedom to explore, try new things and operate like an independent studio, with the backing from one of the biggest companies in the world to do something bold and different. The industry is headed in an exciting direction, and we see an opportunity to create amazing new game experiences of the future. Our immediate focus is expanding our team to bring that vision to life, and we are incredibly excited for what the future holds for The Initiative,”Darrell Gallagher

More studios has come to work for microsoft devloping excusive games. Places like Ninja Theory and Obsidian Entertainment, and compusion games are now all studios microsoft owns Obsidian Entertainment is probaly the more well known studio with them being the makers of Fallout New Vegas.

Time will tell what these studios will acomplish in the future. Personlay I hope that with Microsoft foucsing more on there excusive lineup works out the best for them and we get some great first party games. But what do you think will happen? Feel free to leave a comment down below.
