This year’s Star Wars celebration looks set to be a force (I’m hilarious) to be reckoned with. Not only are many hopeful of seeing the first trailer for Star Wars Episode 9, but we are also getting treated to our first look at a new Star Wars game. Namely, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Whilst having already been announced, Fallen Order will be on show at the celebration for an exclusive first look. The game is set to follow a Padawan who survived order 66 and it will follow their exploration of the galaxy in the time after the fall of the Jedi Order. Sounds interesting.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be developed by Respawn Entertainment, you may have heard of them. They recently released Apex Legends, one of the newest in an ever-growing list of battle royale games. We rather enjoyed it, check out our review here and give the game a go if you haven’t already, after all, it is free.

Fallen order will be the third major Star Wars game to be published by EA in their exclusive 10 year Star Wars publishing deal they have with Disney. There would have been more games had EA not shut down Visceral Games and cancel the open world Star Wars game they were working on. Not that I’m bitter about it or anything.

Star Wars
What we could have had

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is slated to release this fall, EA even states as much on their website.  This year’s Star Wars Celebration takes place in Chicago between April the 11th and 15th. I look forward to seeing just what Visceral Games will bring to the table and hopefully we’ll get to see some gameplay and learn a bit more about it.

With so many things to get excited for at the celebration I just wish I could afford the plane ticket to get there. Keep an eye on The Nerd Stash in April (as well as daily), we’ll bring you all the news and info as and when we get it.
